ISO/IEC 24458 “Information technology - Automatic identification and data capture techniques - bar code printer and bar code reader performance testing specification” was published on May 5, 2022, which is the first useful international standard that specifies how to evaluate performances of a bar code printer and a barcode reader. This standard also specifies test charts to be used for testing of a bar code reader.
